This past week was relatively low-stress. We celebrated Easter and Spring, went for plenty of walks and spent cloudy afternoons and late evenings devouring books.
- I made spaghetti (squash) and it was so tasty. I always forget how much I love spaghetti squash.
- Oliver enjoyed a Zumba class in Morris and loved every second of it.
- I had another doctor's appointment, and am now more confused than ever. I could tell you twenty ailments I do not have.
- We jumped on trampolines, and played on the neighbour's backyard playground. I got to snuggle tiny baby Simon some more and I just can't get enough.
- I went out to the city to visit my Lindsay, who is a beautiful crazy cat lady with an incredible loving soul. She heals me in important and complex ways.
I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with the health stuff. I feel like every time I see a doctor they're making another shot-in-the-dark guess. And the diagnostic process for this guess takes a month or more. And then the result is inconclusive anyway. I feel a bit like I'm getting nowhere, and my abdominal pain refuses to subside. I'm stressed and feel a little like things are out of control and I'm having a hard time getting a grasp on it. Everything is moving so slowly and I'm so anxious to get on with my life.
In the meantime I'm trying to make even healthier lifestyle choices, incorporate some exercise into my routine, and seek out ways to find peace. For my mind and my heart.
