The sun is finally out, and it's turning into a gorgeous day. Matt is thrilled, since he threw down some grass seed a couple of days ago, and then yesterday evening it poured rain for a while, and now the beautiful sun has come out to warm our grass babies. It's a touch early in the year, but I think it'll actually work out, if it carries on like this outside.
I'm still not feeling physically capable of too much, but I'm hoping we get a walk in a little later, after the kids naps. Perhaps we'll check the mail, if I can manage Theodore, the wild animal, long enough.
Yesterday's ultrasound appointment went great. I mean, given a choice I probably wouldn't have an intimate date with a probe, but I think it went as well as things like this can. I was joking with the girl doing it, and asked about why ultrasound rooms are always so dimly lit. I wondered if maybe it was to relax people, and she told me that it was just so they could see their screens more clearly. I told her that either way, I felt as though I was being romanced.
When it was finished, I asked her if there was anything alarming, and she said "You'll have your results in about a week, but I really wouldn't worry." She told me that if she had any urgent concerns she'd be sending me over to the ER, but she didn't. So I'm definitely relieved. We also got a big grocery shopping trip out of the way while we were in Winkler, so Matt couldn't have been happier either. Two birds with one stone? His favourite thing.
Now to wait patiently for the results. I think I'd like to start planning some Easter traditions for our family in the meantime, maybe find a healthy carrot cake recipe and some fun and easy egg decorating methods. We don't have any family Easter celebrations for the coming weekend, so it will just be the four of us, but sometimes that's best of all.
