Oliver and I spent some time out on the front lawn looking for birds on Saturday evening. The weather was beautiful, and he was already in his jammies, but he caught the sound of them through the windows and had to take the opportunity to try and get a close-up listen and maybe look. He hasn't quite mastered the binoculars, but it doesn't stop him from trying. It's like he's a magical little elf that we stole from the wild, he only feels at home outdoors and surrounded by living things. I'll take it.

Today is another beautiful day, weather-wise, with much less wind than yesterday, which means the opportunity for getting outside and getting some sun is much greater today. Yesterday evening our friends Erin & Jesse came down to watch the Game of Thrones season premiere. It's kind of our show. We followed it last season together, and Jesse has read the books, so it's always a much anticipated night of my week. I love to be around those two, they are soothing and sweet, and funny. They are such treasures, to us and our boys.

Speaking of the boys, they're currently drenching my bathroom with water as I write this. I wanted to get my blogging time in before their naps today in the hopes that I might sneak a nap in while they do. I've been feeling extra drained lately, and need an energy boost to get me through the rest of the day (though a tall cup of coffee would do quite nicely, too!)
