Full Term!

37 Weeks today, and according to all of the baby books, that means we're full term today, baby!

What exactly does that mean? Well, it means that if baby boy were born today or any day afterward, he'd probably be O.K. He most likely wouldn't need an incubator to keep warm (since he's had enough time to pack on the fat!) and he'd be great at the whole breathing thing too, all other possible unexpected complications aside. He's ripe for the pluckin' folks.

I keep wanting to say how many weeks or days are left in the countdown, but I don't want to give away his birthday just yet! All I can say is that it's definitely crunch time in the Gilson household.

I'm still feeling pretty much the same as my last update, physically. Emotionally I'm spiraling out of control, though. I've become a crazy nester. I'm organizing every drawer, every storage space, every room and closet of the entire apartment because I just can't stand the thought of clutter hiding behind a door. I can hear it calling to me from its sneaky little darkened corner. And it keeps me awake at night, to be honest. So absolutely everything is getting sterilized, organized, and reorganized.

I've also made a list of things that have needed to get done for a while that I know for SURE won't happen once there's a newborn complicating things. Like sleep schedules. And sanity. And it's also a mile long. My husband is ever so excited every time I ask him to "tackle the list with me."

But here's my 37 week photo! I changed outfits - the white-on-white just wasn't working for me. You couldn't really tell where the bump ended and the snow began so I decided to mix it up. Because I'm the boss and it's my call.

As you can see, though, things are starting to really round out!

In a couple of weeks I'll do another photo (they'll be more frequent now since baby could arrive at any time) and I'll do a full post containing all of the photos for comparison.

I think it's safe to say that baby's growing, though. That I think we can all agree is obvious.
