We might do some pumpkin painting or carving later on today, but for now we're just trying to relax and take in the warmth of the indoors together as a family. Eating good food, watching movies, and just generally hanging out. (And Mama and Daddy are definitely taking advantage of all of the candy people keep giving to "Oliver." Yeah right. That's all for us, baby.)
But this year we wanted to do a costume equally as adorable, and equally as "witty" if you will as his costume last year. No store bought cliche costumes for this kiddo! As cute as little pumpkins and farm animals can be, we wanted something just a little extra special for our little priceless treasure.
Last year, his Pinterest inspired costume was definitely a hit, and even made it into the local newspaper!
Absolutely adorable, no?
My little chef boyardee.
This year we went a different direction, and actually included Matt in the design scheme!
Talk about priceless treasure!
It came out absolutely adorable I think, especially because of the pillow we shoved in the front of the sack (pillowcase.) And that rubber mask Matt is wearing my mom already had at her place (why?) so we just threw it into the costume and saved me the trouble of having to make a mask (which would have taken me all of two minutes) and find a green toque somewhere (another two minutes.) Plus the rubber ears on the sides are kind of hilarious, anyway. Any other angle, and it looked like Matt had four ears. Hilarious.
I think even funnier, though, was the way Oliver looked running in his costume.
