One key item on our Fall to-do list has been checked off, and that's corn pickin' and corn eatin'. Everyone in our house loves corn on the cob, and I'd even go so far as to say it's one of my absolute favourite foods in the world. It's heartbreaking that it's only around for such a short window each year (like Fall's version of the Christmas orange - also delicious.) Oliver loved picking corn with his Grandma and Uncle Quincy, and tearing it open to find the tasty gold inside. Then we headed back to Grandma's to cook it up and dig in. All of the pieces of my master #SummonFall plan are falling into place...

I've been working hard on a crochet project, trying to get a blanket done for the living room, or possibly our bedroom. I greatly underestimated how much wool I'd need, though, and will have to go back this evening to pick up a bit more. I've never made a blanket before so this was definitely a rookie mistake. Also yarn isn't cheap. I'm not sure I would have undertaken such a big project if I'd have known how much it was going to cost in the end. So this blanket will have to officially be our favourite blanket in the house and we'll have to use it for absolutely everything for the rest of time.
