My kiddos got some little gifts from some friends of ours on the weekend, and first thing Monday morning Oliver just had to try them out. They were these little encapsulated sponge dinosaurs that you put in warm water to open. Theodore was barely impressed because he's a very busy bloke, but Oliver couldn't get enough. There were twelve total of the little things, and he could name every single one. All different kinds of dinosaurs, and he could name every one. And I knew there were some he knew that were not present! Unbelievable.

I'm craving Fall lately like crazy. The mornings and nights have been cooler, and we've been living with the windows wide open all day every day. It's still pretty warm right in the sunshine outside, but the house stays pretty chilly. Today I'm actually sporting a sweater beneath another sweater, I imagine it'll conjure Fall if it's feeling a bit reluctant. I know there are some out there who live for summer time, and I'm sorry if my black magic does bring on the next season, but I am just dying for sweaters and scarves and leg warmers and boots. I had a moment the other day as I scrambled through my closet where I realized that I hated all of the clothes in it and couldn't quite put my finger on why. And then I remembered that it was because they were all tank tops and shorts, which are definitely my least favourite attire. I wanted to just throw them all in the garbage on the spot (I didn't obviously.) Perhaps if I drink exclusively chai tea every single day the leaves will begin to change colours, and the world will welcome me back into it once again. For now I'll just hide indoors and pretend Fall has already begun, and infuriate my instagram followers with my spiced-pumpkiny feed.
