I want to do a full blog post all about motherhood for Mother's Day, and I want to put some serious heart into it. But for today I'm feeling tired, so instead I'm just going to post these photos from the little mini photo shoot Oliver and I did over the weekend, near one of his most favourite things. Trains. He is a beautiful shining light everywhere he goes, and just being near him makes everything brighter and more wonderful. It was basically impossible to get him to "look serious" for that one photo, because this kid just doesn't do serious. He does focused. But not serious. Nothing could be so serious that you can't laugh at it just a little bit.

Hold your babies in your arms today and whisper into their ears that you love them, in every language that you speak. Your human babies, your animal babies, your plant babies, or even just the friends and family that you nurture every day, or the baby your heart is set on having one day in the future. Whisper your I Love Yous into the wind and they will reach the hearts they are intended for because the most important thing about Mother's Day is love. Good, warm, saturating love.
