Well it looks like all of the snow has melted, thank goodness. I knew it wouldn't stay, but the very sight of it was enough to send me into a full blown panic attack. The wind, however, has stayed and is just ludicrous. Weather.com is telling me it's 50 km/h but I'm pretty sure it's stronger than that. It's like stay-in-the-house-don't-leave-is-there-a-tornado-coming type wind. Which limits the outdoor fun to be had. I'd take the kids out in it, because I don't think they'd mind, but I never outgrew that reflex you have when you're a baby when someone blows in your face and you hold your breath. Do you know which one I'm talking about? So a strong wind in my face and I'm rendered breathless. It's actually ridiculous. If you've ever seen me open a car window while driving, you've had the opportunity to laugh at me for this little quirk. You're welcome.
I woke up with a sore throat today, but it's subsided throughout the morning. I also had tremendous abdominal pain for most of the morning, but it's also gotten more manageable as the day has progressed (though never gone, I'm afraid. Ever. It's quickly becoming my "norm.") Oliver was up for half the night throwing-up, though he is also doing much better now. Needless to say our morning was spent cuddled up on the couch watching movies. I took a minute to work on a little diy project I've been wanting to get to for a long time, and it literally only took me ten minutes to make. But it felt good to do something productive for a change, I've been feeling so cooped up and stuck as of late, and it's the little things that keep me going. Like making a macrame hanging planter out of leftover yarn. You gotta do what you gotta do.
Oliver's Zumba class for this evening is cancelled, due to a flu stricken instructor, but we're expecting E&J over for another episode of Game of Thrones, so that will be a nice distraction. No spoilers please!
