Today is the day! The day I finally get to see my actual doctor, and find out what the heck is going on. I get to ask all of my questions and get some answers and solutions and everything will work out, as I have so decided. I'm on the fence between what I want the outcome to be, however. I can't decide if I want the doctor to tell me that yes, it is cysts, and we'll figure it out. Or no, my ovaries are perfect. It's a tricky thing, dancing along the line of wishing for a health condition. All I really want is to know when the end is coming, and when I can start planning for the future again. Today please.

This morning I was woken by the sounds of Oliver making silly noises while Theodore was hysterically laughing. I am so glad my boys get along with each other so well (most of the time.) Oliver loves to make his little brother laugh, and Theodore loves to be wherever Oliver is. Even while he's "taking a break" (time-out) and wailing away to be released, Theodore will be in there just waiting it out with him, in the trenches.

Oliver's big interest right now is sea creatures, mainly the big ones with teeth, or spikes. He'd be quick to tell you that his favourite is the eel, though the angler fish and hammerhead shark are a very close second. He puts his book down, and asks me to watch as he takes steps from one wall of our house, counting as he goes, until he decides his steps sufficiently demonstrate the actual size of a specific creature. "Look!" he exclaims. "The sperm whale is as big as our house!"

Last night I took Oliver to his first Zumba Kids class, and since the weather was a bit strange, there were only three other kids there. Which was perfect for a first class, I think. He didn't get overwhelmed and actually listened so well. He copied the instructor's actions, and participated, and laughed and jumped and tired himself out. I was so impressed. I'm not sure how I was expecting it to go, but I know it went better than I'd hoped. I wanted to take a photo to use on the blog, but realized before leaving that it probably wouldn't be permitted anyway, since other people's children would likely be in the background, and there are some unspoken (and often spoken!) rules about that kind of thing.

Wish me luck getting the kids into the car, driving for half an hour, and making it to my appointment on time! I almost never do...
