Insta Saturday // Week in Review

This week was filled with Spring goodness!

- Our dear friends just welcomed a newborn, so we treated them to some home cooked beef stew, and they gave me a belated birthday gift! A stunning measuring cup / mason jar combo. <3

- Probably as a result of the lack of jacket wearing (in protest of Winter's lingering chill) I came down with a pretty nasty head cold, for which honey and tea and a sweet doting husband were the greatest remedies (and a little bit of ill advised front porch sitting!)

- We hopped over to The Ice Cream Hut for our first ice cream of the season! I had a lactose-free option, due to my new dietary restrictions. Black Cherry isn't my favourite, but it wasn't too bad!

- We spent some time at Grandma's house, catching up and watching the snow melt

- I've been jotting down a lot of plans in the ol' agenda for the coming season!

- Breakfast + books go hand-in-hand this week, and sometimes it makes for some very distracted eaters.

- I tried my hand at making my first ever vegan gluten-free from-scratch meal and it turned out amazing (and only took half an hour!) Delicious Mediterranean baked sweet potato with roasted chick peas, and homemade hummus / garlic-dill sauce, tomato and marinated parsely. Yum! You can find the recipe here!
