The days can get long around here while Matt is away at work, but we fill our time as well as we can. Oliver is starting to grow out of his daily naps, and while he still takes them more often than not, sometimes he opts for "quiet reading time" instead. Then he very sweetly spends an entire hour just quietly reading on our bed, though he always insists on having some soft music playing in the background. He also still loves to wear his "favourite yellow dinosaur shirt" and waits anxiously every time it needs a washing. His green blanket and dear friend Pig stay with him at nap time and reading time.
Our jungle child, Theodore, takes every opportunity to shop in the fridge whenever we forget to lock it, and has learned how to open yogurt lids. So he helps himself to as many yogurts as he can get his hands on, gets himself a spoon, and sits at the table. He's not the neatest eater around, but he sure is cute.
I'm already starting to dream up what veggies I'll grow in my first ever garden this year, and I'm thinking we might invest in a play structure for the back yard, though Matt doesn't know it yet. I'm also still recovering from whatever head cold I've caught, and have my first doctors appointment with my actual doctor today to get some answers on whatever is ailing my poor tummy, though the pain has subsided considerably thank goodness.
Today is going to be a great day!
