We live in Canada, which means we don't have the opportunity to see the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade live, not even on TV sometimes. It took me over half an hour to find a working link to it online, but once I did Oliver and I hunkered down to enjoy it. I've been watching it my whole life; My mom used to let me skip school so I wouldn't miss it. Something about the elaborate floats and giant balloons, it's all so magical and it just isn't Christmas without it. He loved it, especially the Cirque du Soleil float, with the trampolines and costumes. Passing Christmas traditions down to my kids fills my heart with such joy.
