The wind is blowing intensely today, and the horizon looks dusty and dry. I should be thankful, because this is what summer looks like, but it's shifted my seasonal allergies into an early full swing, and my eyes aren't too keen on it. I can't stop rubbing them, they are so itchy and red and puffy! It probably didn't help that I spent some time in the basement renos last night with Matt, I just wanted to be close to him and figured that since he was just mudding and not sanding it ought to be alright, but it was a mistake I think. I am wildly allergic to drywall dust.

Not much to report today, and not many new photos taken. I'm feeling strong and secure this afternoon, probably because I spent the morning with one of my best friends, Alyssa, and her three kiddos. They came over and had a crazy fun time, and we all had lunch together. It was wonderful, our kids play together so fantastically. It's probably because they know each other so well. Oliver and their oldest daughter Jadyn are only ten days apart in age, and have known each other their whole lives. And Theodore and Aubrey (their youngest girl) are only a couple of months apart. And I will never ever say no to teeny tiny baby snuggles, of which I got my fair share this morning. Alyssa emits a positive and strong vibration everywhere she goes, so it's always very settling to be in her presence and talk with her. She's very grounded, and I need that sometimes.

Matt and I have been brainstorming furniture configurations for the main floor and basement once it's complete. Ikea has a BOGO event going on with fabric sofas and armchairs, so we're trying to see if we can take advantage of it somehow. I have a much easier time letting him work on the renos when I can visualize the finished product, or enjoy dreaming up the decor and furniture. Not that I love buying all of our furniture from Ikea, but it's just so hard to beat the prices.
