Swinging Feet
It's hard sometimes to remember to slow down. My New Year's resolution this year has been to simply ask less of myself, which is self fulfilling since I usually ask a lot more than that come New Years. Lose weight, start exercising, conquer the world and all that. But I need to do less. I need to slow down. I need to stretch the days and fill them with goodness. I was running around cleaning the house as my boys quietly ate their lunch at the table, because they're sweet and wonderful and unbelievably well behaved, and I remembered my mission. I stopped right where I stood and looked at them. And if I hadn't stopped, I wouldn't have seen their beautiful little feet swinging rhythmically in time with one another beneath the table. Perfectly synced. The moment sparkled. All the moments need to sparkle.
