All Day Sickness

That's what it ought to be called, anyway. This "morning" business is a bigger sham than Milli Vanilli. And if anyone knows, it's me.
I had unreal all-day sickness with my first pregnancy (more on that here) and this one seems to be going literally exactly the same. Plenty of food aversions (all I can keep down in the morning is Pop Tarts - same as pregnancy #1) and I crave fresh fruits and vegetables constantly. One day for lunch I honestly had raw broccoli, carrot sticks, and cucumber. A big ol' pile of them. And it was soooo delicious!

We saw the doctor for the first time yesterday. We were really there for Oliver's immunizations, but we figured our doctor is hard enough to see that we'd piggyback it with a bit of prenatal stuff. Our doctor congratulated us, and talked us through the steps we need to take in the next couple of weeks. I made an appointment for today, and had my first "prenatal" appointment. He felt my uterus and told me it felt like it was just the right size for how far along I am, and that everything seems healthy and he has no concerns. I made a blood-test appointment for somewhere in the second trimester and another prenatal appointment for late July, and that was that!

Oh, I've also been taking a prescription for these fancy little pills:

It's called Diclectin, and it's for morning sickness. And it rocks my freaking world. I took it with my first pregnancy, too. It's been tried and tested for many many years, and is 100% pregnancy safe. Plus it has little pink pregnant ladies on it, so I'm completely on board!

I've been extremely fatigued lately, though. Can barely find the motivation to get out of bed in the morning. I tell ya, if there wasn't a little goblin screaming at me through my bedroom wall, I'd probably stay in bed all day. I'm seriously just pooped! I feel kinda bad, making Oliver watch Pixar movies all morning while I lounge on the couch, but I honestly don't have much more in me!

So if all is as planned, my due date for Baby #2 is February 4th, just 4 days after my little monster's 2nd birthday. Going to be a busy February! (Valentines Day is the 14th, my birthday is the 20th.) I think there are a ton of family birthdays on Matt's side in February as well. Lucky month, I guess!
